Other matches such as revolver or 45 after the league match are deemed to be difficult to execute due to extended time required.

New Business:

News paper articles: Clubs to consider newspaper articles in local papers to promote team success and league growth

Per each teams discretion. Individual names should not be published due to security reasons.

DNF: A new procedure for disabled guns or double malfunctions was discussed and approved.

The intention is to dampen severe handicap swings with newer shooters due to equipment problems.

Procedure allows participant to post DNF or did not finish due to disabled gun or double malfunction.

League and club retains all match fees but score is blank.

In consideration of good sportsmanship, this item is not to be abused and proceedes on an experimental basis.

Although I would have benefitted from such a rule in the past, as a matter of principle, your League president has voted against this feature.

Item approved by simple majority.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm

Rule wording:

Inability to Complete A Course of Fire – In the event that a shooter is unable to complete a National Match Course due to a physical malfunction that, in the opinion of the Range Officer (1) makes it impossible or unsafe for the shooter to continue firing, or (2) results in a double alibi, the shooter shall be given the option of requesting of the Range Officer that a Did Not Finish (DNF) result for the match be recorded for that match.  The Range Officer serves as witness to the event. If the Range officer approves the request, both the shooter and the range officer sign the target with an indication of DNF. The shooter’s score for that match will be submitted as a DNF to the league secretary along with the shooter’s match fee.  A DNF score will not be included for the calculation of a shooter’s season average, but will be counted as participation in a match for the purpose of determining eligibility for awards.
