The Adirondack Foothills Pistol League competitions are shoulder to shoulder .22 conventional pistol matches. The matches are held weekly (2006-7 schedule) throughout the winter on Monday evenings. The first match will be Monday December 2. Competitors skills vary from beginner to nationally recognized. The course of fire is a Conventional National Match course of 10 rounds slow fire, 10 rounds timed fire and 10 rounds rapid fire. The maximum score is 300. Individual awards are given at the end of each season for high score in each stage of fire and for the highest average both overall and within each of four classes. Team awards are presented on the basis of both scratch and handicap scores. Fees are $2 per match plus any individual club fee (To pay for refreshments and targets that each individual club must supply). The fee is only charged for matches that you attend. The fee is used to cover operating expenses purchase trophies and reduce the cost of the yearly banquet for qualified participants.
